  7. Paul Weller's new "Modern Classics" is a misnomer. The music is hardly modern, nor the music classic. In fact, much of the music seems intended to disappoint. Weller's leap into solo hasn't shined with the aura of his earlier Jam and Style Council days. It seems Weller unbound is not as pleasing as he is with counterparts/5().

  8. The Changingman was co-written by Brendan Lynch, and performed, written and produced by Paul Weller, who sings and plays guitar, piano and shakers on the record. Carleen Anderson provides back-up vocals, as does Steve Cradock and Dr. Robert, who also play the guitar and bass guitar respectively.
